Solution To "Device is Not Registered" of CCTV DVR and NVR

If you encounter the issue of "Device not registered" when you try to connect to you CCTV cameras using the mobile app ivms-4500, here is the solution to it:

1) While you are in the same network of your CCTV system, open your browser (Firefox recommended) from your computer (NOT mobile phone).

2) Type the URL address of your NVR/DVR, and login the system (if you are not sure how to do this, please refer to our remote support to get help from us)

3) Go to "Configuration" -> "Network" -> "Basic Settings" -> "TCP/IP". Make sure the DNS server is set to "8.8.8.8" and "8.8.4.4". Click "Save" when you are done. The screenshot is shown as below.

4) Go to "Configuration" -> "Network" -> "Basic Settings" -> "DDNS". Select "Asia" in Area (or Locality in some system). Select "Singapore" in Country. The screenshot is shown as below.

5) Click "Save"

The issue of "Device not registered" should be resolved by now.

Singapore: 60 more locations to get CCTV cameras to deter illegal parking by end of next year

SINGAPORE - Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras will be gradually deployed at 60 more locations to deter illegal parking from Oct 6 2016.

Parking enforcement cameras, in use since April 2014, have cut down parking offences along roads clogged up by rampant illegal parking, the Land Transport Authority said.

There are now 70 places monitored by CCTVs and this will rise to 130 locations by the end of 2017.

Seven new locations have been identified, where the cameras will start operating from Oct 6:

1. Benoi Road (both directions, near FairPrice Hub)2. Joo Koon Circle (Joo Koon MRT, near FairPrice Hub)

2. Lim Teck Kim Road (opposite Genting Centre)

3. Sengkang East Way (near Compass One) and Sengkang Square (near Kopitiam Square & Sengkang MRT/LRT)

4. Woodlands Avenue 3 (Marsiling MRT, both directions)

5. Woodlands Centre Road (before Woodlands Train Checkpoint)

6. Yishun Central Service Road (both sides)

Updates on new CCTV locations will be posted on LTA's one.motoring website.

Traffic conditions have improved at many sites where CCTVs are in use, LTA said.

The daily average number of parking summonses in each area has gone down from 30 to three a day by end 2015, it added.

"Inconsiderate illegal parking can obstruct and prevent vulnerable pedestrians, particularly young children, seniors and users of mobility aids from crossing the road safely," LTA said.

"Illegally parked vehicles can also restrict the vision of other motorists by blocking their view of pedestrians who are crossing the road."

Illegal parking near bus stops endangers the safety of commuters, LTA said.

To identify CCTV monitoring zones, look out for lamp posts or sign posts with bright orange vertical strips.

LTA has also installed "No Waiting" signs at passenger pick-up points with CCTV cameras, such as near Bishan and Clementi MRT stations, to remind motorists that they are not allowed to wait at these pick-up locations.

Most hidden cameras still require AC power to run. So firstly, check all your power plugs at home, make sure there is no unrecognised device plugin to the socket.

Start from the video storage of hidden cameras

Secondly, there are only two ways, that the recorded video can be seen by the person who install the hidden camera at your room:

1. The video is recorded on the SD card of the camera (you can understand it as onboard storage, working logic is the same as this type of IP camera), or HDD of the DVR/NVR (not quite likely cause it’s too bulky). Either way, the person will need to physically go to your room to retrieve the video records. If this is the case, before the person comes to your room again, you are safe. Read Suggestion below.

2. The video is streamed online and recorded to the server. If you have access to the internet gateway, login to the router page, and check whether there is any strange devices connecting to the router; But here is another possibility that the person is using mobile data sim card to connect online.
